Large Diéppe Carved Mother of Pearl Antique Brooch Pin

A highly collectable antique Mother of Pearl hand carved brooch dating from the late nineteenth / early 20th century. The huge round shell has the portrait of a French lady wearing traditional dress carved into the shell which is claw set into a white metal (tested as silver) with original pin and "C" clasp in excellent working condition.
