A fine large antique 17th c. Style pierced carved oak arcaded panel. Length: 1900 mm, height: 292 mm, thickness: 15 mm. Charming bold deep crisp carving having pierced detail and star burst punch work decoration to broad arcaded border, appliqué stepped roundel bosses to each side. Attractive age related rich warm nutty colour and patination.

Carved with crisp attractive scalloped arch, simple bold foliate and floral spandrels on a matted ground. Depicting c-scrolling and foliate decoration typical of the English 17th c. Pleasing period condition, without any worm holes or loss. Ideal coat hook pediment, door pediment or period wall display.
