Antique Rare Gold-filled Flip Pin Carved Scenic Cameo & Photo Military Uniform

This is a rare antique gold-filled flip pin with a hand-carved shell scenic cameo on one side and, on the other side, an antique photograph of a man in a military uniform. The cameo features a woman standing by a tree, next to a house. The antique photograph features hand-painted detailing, such as pink lips and gold on the collar, buttons and fringed epaulettes. The pin has a twist frame inside a narrow plain frame, and rotates easily. The pin is 2 inches high, 1 3/4 inches wide, and has a C clasp.

This unique flip pin is in excellent antique condition: no chips or cracks in the cameo; no dents in the frame, but you can see the solder around the top and bottom posts; there are "smudges" between the glass and the photo, but when you hold it at an angle, you can see the portrait clearly. Note: when the cameo is in front, the photograph is upside down in the back, and when the photograph is in front, the cameo is upside down in the back.
