Antique Lucky Carved Mother Of Pearl Pig On A Rolled Gold Chain signed RW. I think the chain probably came after to hang the pig. The chain has old makers marks. Carved from a lovely mother of pearl piece. The pig hangs from gold coloured fittings.
They have a mark but I cannot read it. I could test the rings on pig but from research they usually had gold fittings. The fittings are not attaching to a magnet. And has a mark I can't read.
I didn't want to damage the piece. Please see the photos, they are very close up and you can make up your mind. These pigs were very popular in Victorian times, as they were considered very lucky. Again please study photos carefully.
